SKI FITNESS PRE-SEASON CONDITIONING

This 10 week, 20 session program is designed for the Sidecountry and Backcountry Skier seeking to increase their Strength Endurance, Work Capacity and Stamina prior to the start of Ski Season. Volume, load and  intensity are progressed over the course of the 10 week cycle. You will train 2 days a week and are expected to continue to participate in your regular activities like cycling, running and hiking on your off days from training.

  • Kettlebells
    • Women: 8kg, 12kg, 16kg in pairs
    • Men: 16kg, 20kg, 24kg in pairs
  • Sandbag
    • Women: 40#
    • Men: 60#
  • Backpack
  • 3 way Plyo Box
  • Download any of the Free TABATA apps
  • Therabands, red, green, blue or a cable machine
  • Step Up Box- approximately the height of your tibial tuberosity
  • Green Monster Band or a Cheetah Band for Cheetah Hops
  • Something sturdy to anchor to for resisted hops, lifts, chops and presses
  • Hip Belt plus webbing for Crawling Sandbag Drags
  • Physioball
  • Foam Roller
